December 30

This picture was not taken today but I found in on my camera after downloading some pictures. It is to precious of a memory to not include in this year's 365. Jake was a shepherd during his Cubbies reenactment of Jesus' birth. I just loved it!

The boys also received remote control trucks for Christmas. It took a day for them to charge so we didn't get to enjoy them until this morning. They were definitely a hit for all "three" of my boys.

December 28

Today we celebrated Christmas with my mom and Benny. It was a few days after Christmas but it was good to not have to travel back and forth between houses all in one day.

One of the gifts that the boys received were cap guns. They both loved the cap guns. Judd was making us laugh so hard with the faces he was making each time he would pull the trigger.

Judd didn't get a nap today because we were so busy traveling. Judd always takes a nap. He needs to sleep. I loves to sleep. The day just didn't work out for him to have an official nap time. By the time, we settled down to cook dinner Judd fell asleep in Jim's lap. The boy needs his sleep.

Today we celebrated Christmas with the Perdue Family. Anna Kate received this adorable tutu made by Aunt Lara. We had a great time with all of our family.

We continued our tradition of opening one present on Christmas Eve which contained new pajamas for everyone. Here we are wearing our new pajamas getting ready to watch "A Charlie Brown Christmas."

Every year I take the kids to get their picture taken with Santa. Last year I decided to start displaying them each year on a table around this Santa. The Santa is special because all of his clothes are made from my grandmother's clothes and jewelry. Also, the handkerchief is the one I gave my mother on my wedding day.

Jim and I are giving this picture the name "Causalities of Christmas." This year the kids broke one tractor ornament, a donkey from one of my nativity sets, two wise men from another nativity set. Also, not pictured are two picture frames Anna Kate decided to break. Jim and I couldn't believe that all of these things were broken. To be honest, it became very frustrating, but you can see in the picture the most important thing. Christmas isn't about the ornaments or my nativity scenes. Christmas is all about the baby in the manger.

December 21

This year I didn't do as many Christmas projects wiht the kids. I had a long list of things to axxomplish but time got away from me and Christmas is in 4 days. We are doing our Jesse Tree every night so I don't feel like a complete failure. However, on this day we did decide to make the manger with hay.

December 20

We asked Ms. Connie to take a picture of us this morning at church before leaving. I wanted a family picture all dressed up at Christmas. We could not get Anna Kate to stop crying once I put her down. Jim and I just laughed when we saw this one. Merry Christmas!

DEFENSE!
Jake likes playing basketball but he is serious about defense. We have to keep reminding him to keep his hands up so that he does not foul the other players!

She is still here! I feel like I have been posting so many pictures of the boys this month.

Today we had some really nice weather so we went outside and had a picnic for lunch. When I went to take some things inside I came back to find this...Anna Kate sitting with a whole bag of popcorn in her lap. She did not want to look at me and smile so I snapped the picture anyway.

Jim has been sick all week. He has been in the bed for three days so when he came out today the kids were stuck to him like glue.

This was a sweet moment of reading before putting the boys to bed. He is such a good daddy!

I found the gingerbread man alphabet file folder game this morning. This is something Jake enjoyed last year so I thought he would have fun doing it again this year. The difference this year was he had to match the lower case letters to the upper case letters in the file folder. He did a great job. He is so smart!

Brothers. Best Friends.
The day has finally arrived. They are sharing a room. Gone are the days of separate rooms and baby beds. (I am shedding a tear.) My boys are getting bigger and this is just one of the many milestones they will share.

Look at him go! Today is Judd's birthday! Jim and I gave him a bike. He loves it! I just wish that the weather was a little nicer and he could ride it more.

THE BOOTS!
Jim and I decided to buy one another cowboy boots for our anniversary. We haven't been able to get them until now. Last night Jim took me to the store, I found some I really liked and he bought them for me. Unfortunately, we didn't find any for him.

This morning I was trying to find something to wear to church when I decided that I wanted to wear my boots. This is the outfit that I put together. I love my boots! I love my man!

Today was Jake's first basketball game. Look at him shoot! Go Jake!
It was also Judd's third birthday party. I am torn over which picture to post.
So, I will post both.

December 11

This is the cutest snowman! He was delivered to our home by a sweet family in our church.

He comes apart and the kids can put back together. His hat, nose, pipe, arms and scarf come off. The kids love taking him apart and putting him back together again. He is definitely a Christmas favorite.

This is Jake's newest habit. He constantly has his fingers in his hair. He is pulling it, twisting it, flipping it. It drives us crazy. His hair already sticks up without him pulling it. We keep telling him that we are going to shave it off if he doesn't stop.

December 9

Tonight the Preschool Praisers at Crosspointe sang Jingle Bells before the Children's Muscial. If you look to the far right you will see Jake. this was the best picture we could get of him on stage. We were not expecting them to be in the center of the stage.

Today we made shape Christmas trees. I cut three triangles and the kids glued them in the shape of a Christmas Tree. They used foam shape sticks to "decorate" the tree. Babygirl LOVED doing a project with the boys especially since it involved stickers.

December 7

Judd's imagination is amazing. This morning he had a wooden pig standing on a stool with the other little people looking at the pig. He kept saying that the pig was telling them about Jesus and singing “Hallelujah.”
Do you see that sweet little hand? I had to make sure it was in the picture.

This is what my children like to do when they can't play outside. They are taking turns rolling each other around on hand trucks. I can't believe their daddy let them do this so close to my car!

Today I ran in the St. Jude Half Marathon in downtown Memphis. It was quite an experience. I am glad that I did it but I am glad that it is over!

December 4

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!

I just love our Christmas tree. However, I have been told by Jake and Judd that we have to get a star to go on the top for next year. I guess I will be looking for one during the after Christmas sales. Who knows what my tree will look like next year!

Daddy and his boys! It is amazing how many times a day Judd will say "Daddy will you hold me?" but Jake rarely every asks. Tonight they both asked....

December 2

This is one of the last times my baby boy will be napping in his crib. I just wanted to have a picture so that one day I can remember that he used to be a little boy. He is getting so big and I know that one day I will turn out and he will be taller than me. Hopefully, he will still be my snuggle bug.

December 1

Can you believe it is December already? This is the last month of the 365 project.

Some time after Judd woke up this morning he found this old play phone that we have for the kids to pretend talking. by lunch he had "called" several people and he was finishing some work. Just so happens at lunch when I snapped this picture he was "talking to Uncle Michael" on his iphone. I love his imagination!
