Jim and I had the privilege to attend the Georgia va Flordia game today. It was a horrible game for UGA but we did get to see Tebow break Hershel Walkers record. I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.
We dropped all of the kids off in Elko so that Jim and I could go to Jacksonville for the weekend. Anna Kate loves to ride on the golf cart. It was a great diversion so that we could leave without any tears.
We have welcomed a new family of children into our home, The Boxcar Children.
I loved this book growing up so I decided to see if Jake would enjoy chapter books. We are going to start reading them on the way to Georgia tomorrow. I am so excited about reading the adventures of The Boxcar Children with my own children.
Cowboy boots are Judd's favorite right now. He wears them everyday and with every outfit. Wind pants..no problem just add boots who needs tennis shoes.
This is just one of the many great pictures from the park today. The warm days of summer are quickly fading so I must soak in and store enough vitamin D to last until spring. He is just growing into such a big boy.
My three little munchkins just before we left the Fall Festival to come home. The monkey didn't want to smile but the princess and football player were all grins.
Yes, those are the same clothes from yesterday's picture. No, they didn't wear the same outfit two days in a row. Although that wouldn't be an uncommon occurrence in this home.
We went to a bonfire after the soccer games and I loved this picture so much I wanted to use it for "today's" picture.
The last soccer game of the season was FREEZING! As you can tell, we were cuddling up close trying to keep each other warm. The smile is fake. We were all miserable!
We were all packed up ready to come home when Mema decided to give the kids Pop Rocks. Who remembers Pop Rocks? Judd loved them. He wasn't too sure about all the popping but they tasted good.
I had an opportunity that I don't normally have living in Tennessee with three children. I went shopping by myself. When I arrived back at mom's house Jake had fallen asleep on Grandpa's lap. I must tell you that this is a miracle. You are looking at a miracle.
Judd loves PECANS! He loves to find them, crack them and eat them. however, He doesn't like to eat shelled pecans in a bag. I guess he likes to work for his food. On this particular day, Sweet Papa let the boys have the pecan rollers and collect pecans that had fallen from the trees. They loved it! Here is my baby boy relishing in his work!
Today was a long day for every one. Jim preached at good friends church this morning in Lake Park, Georgia. We all got up and drove 1 hour and 45 minutes to hear him preach. As soon as the service was over my mom, the kids and I left to drive back to Elko. We stopped to get the kids lunch and then Anna Kate was OUT!. This is what we all wanted to be doing.
Each year the whole Perdue Family gets together for a weekend in October to go to the Georgia National Fair in Perry, Georgia. It is a great time to see everyone and the kids love seeing their cousins. This is a picture of most of the cousins.
Like I said in a previous post, this boy loves to "work." He especially likes to work outside and it is even better when there is a tractor involved. He has always like riding the tractor with his great-granddaddy and his "grandpa" loves for him to ride and help.
Jake is learning how to read, spell and write. Today we went outside and he was writing all of our names. When I came outside to get him for lunch I noticed this name on the ground. His middle name is Clayton. He was trying to write his full name. I just LOVED seeing him do this all by himself. It warmed my heart to see "school" paying off.
This big boy is one good worker. He enjoys having a job to do and help around the house unless it is picking up toys. We were getting my car ready to travel today and he wanted to help me vacuum it. I was more than willing to let him help. Just one of the reasons I love this big boy!
I wish I could bottle that cute smile and adorable cheeks so that I can remember it forever. I know that he is going to grow up so fast and the baby face will be long gone. sniff! sniff!
Jake and Cooper are good friends and Judd just loves being with them. The three of them are a hoot when they are together. Ms. Connie took this picture one night after AWANA. Jake and Cooper had just finished Cubbies and Judd, Puggles.
