She is getting so big. I can not believe how quickly she is is growing. Her mullet pig tails are getting longer also.

This is the coolest bike. It is what we call the "Flintstone Bike." It doesn't have pedals so he has to use his feet to pick up speed and then balance on it to ride. Judd is amazing on this bike. He can ride it and do "tricks." It is a neighborhood favorite.

"Which way is our goal?" yelling Coach Pastor Jim
"That way" the team would respond pointing to the goal

This was started after we scored a few goals for the other team at the beginning of the season. He would make them point to "our" before we kicked the ball. Just part of the joys of coaching 4-5 year olds.

This swing is at a park near our house. The boys love it. It is a really cool swing that feels like you are sitting in a recliner swinging. To be honest, I love it as well.

Since Nana is spending a few days with us the boys are both sleeping in Jake's room on the bunk beds. This is a very special treat for them. When Jim went to check on them before going to bed this is what he found. For some reason, Judd wanted to sleep in the floor. Actually, this idea stems from Jake napping on the floor some days but why would he want to sleep in the floor. Boys will be boys!

Goooo Jake! We have soccer games every Monday and Saturday. This is Jake's second season playing soccer and you can tell he is starting to figure out this game. He has the special treat of having Jim coach him this season.

Yesterday afternoon, Jake started telling me that his ear hurt. I was somewhat concerned so I gave him some Motrin and decided to play the wait and see game. Both boys periodically tell me that their ears are hurting but it turns out to be nothing. I was hoping this would be the case with Jake especially since his nose was runny and he didn't have a fever.

At 6:30, he was screaming again that his ear was hurting. It had only been 3 hours since giving him the Motrin so I called the pediatricians office. They were closing but suggested that I take him to the ER or an urgent care center. First of all, I am not going to take my three children the the swine flu infested ER or urgent care for an ear infection. We just continued giving him pain medicine and prayed we would get some sleep. Jim stayed up with him until 11 and then at 5:30 I was up giving him more medicine and watching cartoons. Some time around 6 he went back to sleep. It wasn't until 8 that he came walking into our bathroom. I immediately looked at him and thought " oh no, his ear drum has ruptured." It was constantly oozing blood and puss. He complained that it hurt a little but not much.

We took him to the doctor later and she confirmed that it was ruptured and gave us a few medicines to take for the next few days. Jim and I were in shock that it actually busted but the doctor told me that she was glad that I didn't take him to the ER. She said he would have came home with more than he went with. Hopefully, it will heal very quickly.

This week we are stuck in the house again due to all of the rain. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate rain?

Anyway, we are reading Harold and the Purple Crayon this week. It is a really cute book and the boys have loved reading it and doing the activities. We decided to draw all of Harold's adventures on a vinyl shower curtain using sidewalk chalk. It was really fun. When we finished I threw the shower curtain in the washer and it was clean. I found this idea from a ladies blog so I thought it would be a hit in our home on rainy days.

She is getting better. Look at her go!

Notice in the picture that she hasn't touched the egg on the plate. She WILL not eat eggs. She is my only child that will not eat them. We continue to offer them and even make her try them but she still spits them back out each time.

It has been raining for days, weeks, months, years. No really it just feels like forever since we have seen the sunshine.
I really need to finish some laundry and the kids NEEDED to play outside I decided to do my laundry on the front porch swing while they played in the front year. It was wonderful! We were all very happy.

I just waved as people passed by the driveway. I know that they thought I was crazy, but after being the house with three kids for so long...I WAS CRAZY!

Babygirl is learning to feed herself using a spoon. However, she is getting more on her face and shirt than in her mouth. She is determined to do it without help so i just sit back and take pictures.

"Daddy Survival Kit"

I went to an AWANA leaders conference today so Jim had the kids all day. We had a few errands that needed to be taken care of in Cordova, which is a 35 minute drive. He decided to be a brave daddy and get the job done.

This is his Facebook status:
"I'm taking all three kids to town by myself. Brave or stupid? We'll see!"
"Uh oh...I forgot the diaper bag. I think I smell something."
"I really did.(Forget the diaper bag.) Fortunately that smell was a false alarm!"
"I made it! What a sense of accomplishment. I feel lime I've climbed Mt. Everest!!!"
"When Stephanie was gone on Saturday, I took the kids to town all by myself. I survived! This is how. When they have food in their mouths they are much less likely to scream."

Tonight we went to Goat Days in Millington. We needed to experience the famous Goat Days and Jim was saying the opening prayer so we decided to make it a family affair. I forgot my camera so we used Jim's iphone to take pictures. It was to keep them still long enough to get a good picture so I had to get this one from behind.

Pig-Tails!
You will be seeing more of the pig tails in the weeks to come. Anna Kate's hair is what we call a "mullet," long in the back and way to short in the front, so i have decided to start putting it in pig tails. It is so cute. She didn't want me to take this picture but as you can tell I did anyway.

The Letter C. This week we are learning the letter C and circle. Jake is enjoying his Letterbooks and Judd thinks that it is fun to watch his brother. We keep Judd busy with other activities while we are doing school but he likes to be close to his big brother.

This boy is so funny. He can make almost anything cute. He will find a favorite shirt or toy or accessory that he MUST have for that day or several days. This hat just happened to be the very special item of the day. Why is it that he insisted on sticking out his tongue. He thought it was SO FUNNY to continue taking pictures with his super long tongue hanging out of his mouth. Judd's tongue has many stories and hopefully one day I will have time to blog about them all.

What a wonderful weekend. Mema came to visit. We had a lot of fun with Mema. The kids were excited to get to spend time with her. She has not come for a visit since March when we had the big snow storm. As we were getting ready to take her to the airport we snapped a few shots before getting in the car.

Every time Anna Kate sees the camera she says "cheese." For some reason she kept tilting her head every time she smiled. I guess it is easier to say "cheese" with your head tiled back.

Go Dawgs! It is that time of year again. Babygirl girl spent time watching the first game with Daddy today. She thought she was something special wearing his UGA hat.

They boys are working on their water color activity. We studied The Tale of Peter Rabbit and I drew a picture for them to color using watercolor just like Beatrix Potter used when illustrating her books.

A little bit of dirt won't hurt! Look at those precious cheeks covered in dirt. I just love my being a mom these boys.

Why does he insist on napping in the driveway? Should we take his blankets outside?

Jim decided to trace him tonight. He thought it was fun to have daddy trace him.
