On this particular day Jake decided to take a nap. When I went to wake him up I found him curled up on the floor beside the door. I am not complaining. I am just glad he took a nap.

July 30

This is a regular occurrence in our home these days. ANYTIME I ask Judd to put his clothes on he puts them on backwards. His shirts, pants and shoes. It is hysterical. I don't know why he does it but he never fails to put them on backwards.

We have started recycling in our house. Anna Kate has found great joy in the milk and orange juice cartons. She loves to take the "mops" (tops) off and put them back on. These cartons will keep her entertained for what seems forever. Just another reason recycling is a good thing.

She can do it! Look at her go....Anna Kate is crawling up the stairs. She slides down but she still makes me nervous. Her brothers thought she should wear a UGA hat.

Here's a quarter....!

I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and I heard CRASH! Jake came running into my room, "mom, I didn't mean to break your light."
I walk into the kitchen and see all of this glass on the floor. Guess what else I see??? Judd and Anna Kate walking in the glass all over the floor. I immediately grab them wipe there feet and send them to the playroom. I cleaned the floor and then went upstairs.

I asked Jake how he broke the light. He said, "I was playing with my quarter and it broke the light." Can you believe a quarter broke the light! I was amazed.

"He looks just like his daddy." We hear this sentence at least once a day. My handsome boy! I can't believe he is four years old.

Several weeks ago, our youth group used a tarp as a slip n slide at church. Jake caught a glimpse and thought it would be great to have one in our yard. He asked almost everyday. Jim used our pool cover, sprinkler and A LOT of soap and created a great slip in slide for Jake. He loved it.

First of all, I am laughing so hard that I am actually putting this picture on here!

I have tried to explain to Jim what my hair looks like when I get it highlighted. I have compared it to a satellite, but it is hard to visualize so we took a picture. How hilarious is this picture???? How many foils can one person have in their hair????

Everyday Anna Kate follows me around the house carrying books. She constantly say "book, book, book" and if you don't read to her immediately she was scream. She is in love with books. I am not complaining about her love but I must admit reading the same animal book 400 times in one day gets a bit draining.

I captured this rare moment...she is sitting the boys dump truck reading to herself. Precious!

July 21

Yes, it is the middle of July and my boys are wearing coats. It was raining outside and we were planning to go run some errands so Jake decided that he needed to wear a jacket. He was kind enough to get one for his brother.

The boys enjoy taking a shower in our bathroom. They have so much playing in the water and splashing each other.

This girl LOVES watermelon. She goes crazy every time I get it out of the refrigerator. This was at lunch. As you can tell, she has watermelon juice running down her face and body.

Redneck Baseball!!!!!

Judd had so much fun play baseball with this stick. He even decided to play golf for a short time. He would hit the ball and run to get it. He had a BLAST!

Daddy and the boys tried to fix our step in the garage this morning. The step was made with Quick Crete when the house was built. Well now it is breaking and falling apart. The dirt is coming in the house and it the hole is going to cause us to break one of our ankles. Ultimately, they could not fix it because we did not have concrete nails. Maybe another day....

I was surprised to receive this in the mail today. This the form for me to order pictures taken of me while I was running the Peachtree. I may not order any but I have these thumbnails to look back on over the years.

On Wednesday nights, Jim serves ice cream during the family meal until we arrive to eat dinner with him. On this night the boys wanted to help him serve ice cream to everyone. They were even given the aprons to wear. I am surrounded by men handsome. Check out Jim's goatee.

Go babygirl go! She was running up and down the drive way today squealing with delight. She loves to chase and to be chased by the boys but she is very quick to let them know when she is tired of them chasing her.

July 13

I found this idea on a website so I decided to try it with the boys. The orginal idea was to use a water hose, but since I have two boys and one water hose we decided to use water guns.

I wrote letters, shapes and numbers on the fence for Judd to shoot when I asked him where they were. For Jake I wrote simple three letter words that I knew he could read.

They really enjoyed this fun activity.

July 12

Judd can flash you the sweetest smile and then a minute later he will be crying. It is such a sensitive boy. I am sure he was upset because life was entirely to complicated for his two year old brain. It really is so sad when he gets this upset.

Judd has begun playing with puzzles. He enjoys all of the boards puzzles that I could never get Jake to play with when he was two. He will spend quite a bit of time putting them together.

The kids enjoyed a fun ride on the tube. Jake thought it was fun to ride with his cousins.

Captain Jake! Throughout the week, we went on boat rides after dinner. Jake enjoyed the moments when he was able to drive with Big Buddy.

Jake and Jim spent some time shooting Jack's pellet gun. Jake enjoyed shooting the Coke cans and watching them fall over.

This picture was taken after a very exciting helicopter ride during the family vacation. The kids and quite a few adults were able to take a helicopter ride over Jackson Lake. It was really neat.

The whole Perdue family was at the Georgia Capitol taking pictures. While we were waiting our kids decided to play on Capitol steps. This is one of our favorite pictures of the day.

The picture of Judd is the picture for the day, but I was trying to "recreate" and get the same picture that was taken of Jake when he was two in the elevator of the Mansion. I could never get the right angle but I thought this picture was adorable of Judd.

I DID IT! I race the Peachtree Road Race. I finished it. I am so excited that I completed this goal. Jim took this picture as I was meeting him at the family meeting area.

Some of our dearest friends, Jason and Kelli Sikes, came to visit us in Atlanta while we were on vacation. While they were visiting Jake and Eli rode the dumb waiter. They had a blast.

As I mentioned earlier, Judd enjoys wearing our shoes. He especially loves flip flops. He wanted a pair of flip flops so badly. Finally, we bought him a pair and this is how he wears them. He doesn't want to wear them on the right feet. He insists this is how you are supposed to wear flip flops.
