Cannnooonnn Balllllll!

Jake loves to jump off of the diving board. We taught him how to do a cannon ball and now he loves to do them over and over again. It took several tries to get a picture of him holding his legs with both hands and still in the air. He was so proud when we finally got the "good" picture.

When we walked out this morning to go swimming this is what Jake found in his swimming trunks, a bird's nest. The birds built a nest over night. We could not believe it was built so fast.

He did it! I can't believe that my husband actually dunked Anna Kate under the water. He always called me cold hearted when I did it to the boys. I am so proud of him.

Best Friends!
We are always teaching the boys that they are each others best friends. We want them to have friends, but to remember that God gave them to one another and they are best friends. This is one of the moments that makes a mommy smile.

Look at her swimsuit cover-up. I think it is precious. She is precious.

The boys latest obsession is taking their shirts off. They want to always be shirtless. This is Judd eating lunch while making his mean face and of course he doesn't have a shirt on.

Summertime=Watermelons

We love watermelon in the Perdue home. Jake wanted to be sure to get ALL of it.

This is another picture of Anna Kate's first time in the pool.

One night during bath time I kept hearing this constant laughter. When I went to see what was so funny I found daddy dressed like this. They thought he was so funny. Of course, I had to get a picture.

We all went fishing at Crosspointe lake and decided to have a picnic dinner. It was fun but a lot of work with three little ones. Jake loves to fish so I am sure that we will be going back quite often.

"These are for you mommy."
My boys bring me flowers all the time. I just love to see them running to me with a handful of flowers. It melts my heart.

We have really bad problems with water standing and flooding in our yard after it rains. We had some yard work do to install a drain. This was the first day. You cannot tell by looking at the picture but it is a huge ditch running through our yard. If you look closely you can see my boys playing in the dirt!

My boy love DIRT! Jim was digging trenches and laying drain pipe today. Jake did a great job helping and when the work was finished he played in the dirt.

Finally, we got the playroom painted. This is the before picture. I haven't taken an after picture yet.

This is a two picture day. We captured another "love daddy" picture. She just kept loving all over him. BUT what you can't see in the "loving daddy" picture is her "tail." When I picked her up from child care this morning we had a "tail." I am assuming that Sunshine was getting aggravated with her dress so the child care workers decided to fix help her.

This is a very rare sight in our house. A couple of years ago, Jake got a lot of Thomas trains. He has never been a fan, but he will play with them if Jim sets of the track.

One morning Jim made a big track so the boys spent time playing "trains." I assume that since you can't wrestle with the trains that is why they don't get very much attention.

This was the only thing that I asked Jim to get me for Mother's Day. I read it very quickly. I have started to apply many of the things that are in the book. It has been very helpful. I must say "Don't Make Me Count to Three" by Ginger Plowman is the best parenting book I have ever read. It is a must read for all moms.

Boys will be boys!

Cooper and Colton stopped by to get a few things for there trip to the beach. While Jessica and I went inside to get the stuff Jake, Judd and Tooper, as he is known in our house, decided to play in the big mud puddle beside our house. Needless to say, they were filthy. We immediately put them in the tub. I had grass, dirt and whatever else they brought in all over the bathroom walls.

Boys will be boys!

As we continued reading about fire trucks we decided to visit the Brighton Fire Department.

Why is it that in the last few pictures of the boys they are making the oddest faces? I can't figure out this new "smile."

Flat Stanley was spent time at the soccer field tonight. He didn't get to play but he enjoyed watching the boys and girls run up and down the field. One of Jake's team mates offered to have her ball in the picture with Stanley.

Today I read books about fire trucks and the boys made the Letter "L" ladders. Flat Stanley watched while they completed their project.

Flat Stanley went to Crosspointe with the Perdue Family this morning. I think he had a great time.

May 9

Look who showed up at our house today! Flat Stanley is a character in a children's book. A bulletin board fell on him and made him as flat as a pancake. Classes all over the world make him and send him on an adventure with a host family. He was sent to us from Georgia. We have to send him back to the little girl that made him. She will receive pictures and a letter detailing his adventure with the Perdue family.

We decided to open the pool today. It is really early to open it, but Jim was tired of seeing the cover and fixing it every day as it comes to rain. Well wouldn't you know there were WORMS and FROGS in the pool. My boys had a great time helping daddy "clean" the pool.

Poor Babygirl! If you look closely you can see the goose egg on the left side of her forehead. She was walking around in my bathroom and hit the bottom corner of the vanity. It was an imprint. It was so sad to see her head with a dent in it.

Much to my surprise, I received this Mother's Day present tonight from a lady in our church. Her daughter, took a picture from my blog and sketched it for me. I love it!

May 3

This is what I am reading these days! I have really enjoyed "There's gotta be more" and Jim and I are teaching a "Love Dare" class at church. I highly recommend both books and of course I HIGHLY recommend the Bible. Please notice that each book has a coordinating pen. I must use the same pen each time I start a book or bible study. I AM that ODC. However, I am using different colors in my Bible now.

May 2

Our first movie night! We took our kids to the movie store. Jake said "What is this place?" with wonder and amazement at all the movies. He then picked this movie. What a bore! I wish that it would have been a better movie but it was fun letting him pick something out for the whole family. Better Luck next time!

May 1

We are now moving away from worms to bigger and better things....FROGS!

May 5

One of the favorites around our house these days is good ole "Guess Who." Jake received it as a present for his birthday but has just recently started playing it. We play a couple of games before nap time and then Daddy plays before bed time.

Jake is trying to teach Judd to play. He is learning but he is still a little younger. However, it is so funny to hear Judd say, "Is yours a boy?"

This is my daughter! Oh how I love a Dt. Mountain Dew first thing in the morning. Just so happens Anna Kate thinks she should have one also.

By the way, it is not open. She did become frustrated when she couldn't get anything to come out.
