February 28

For Jake's birthday he received a Butteryfly Kit and Pavilion in the mail from Sweet Papa and Mema. In the kit, there are two jars that contain caterpillars that we hope will soon turn into Painted Butterflies. This is Jake watching the caterpillars move around the container. He thinks they are very cool.

Today is Jake's birthday. This is a picture of him at the pool waiting on the guests to arrive. I tried to get him to hold up four fingers showing me his age but he thought two thumbs up was more fun. There you have it the birthday boy enjoyed his day and gave his mommy two thumbs up!

February 26

S is for Spiders! This week we learned about spiders. We read the book "The Very Busy Spider" and a few other books about spiders. Jake really enjoyed learning that spiders have eight legs and that spiders aren't insects. It was a fun little science lesson for the two of them.

The projects included making egg carton spiders and paper plate spiders. I looked every where for tape to make a web on the floor but I didn't have any in the house. Hopefully, I will get some at the store soon.

February 25

Today we received a care package from a sweet family in Georgia. It was filled to the top with goodies for the kids and even some fun stuff for mommy. They all had fun with the new things. However, I am still trying to decide if the things in the box or if the box itself was more fun.

February 24

It is finally here! Jim and I bought new living room furniture a month ago and it finally arrived. The kids love it just as much as mommy and daddy. Gone are the days of my favorite red plaid couch and love seat. I will miss them.

February 23

I wonder if she is learning this from Skye. Anna Kate loves to get this football and carry it around in her mouth. I tried to get a picture of her crawling around the house but they didn't turn out very well.

February 22

Tonight at dinner Jake thought it would be funny to make faces with his pretzels. This was a fun night at dinner.

February 21

Would you be interested in a quick game of cat and mouse before dinner?
Anna Kate loves for the boys to chase her. We love to hear them cackle.

February 20

Pretty smile! Daddy and the boys were outside grilling steaks for dinner and Anna Kate was having so much fun watching them. It took me a while to get her to look at me but when she did it was with this pretty smile.

February 19

This is the "hair cut." My little Jake thought he needed a little hair cut. He didn't want to do all of them just a big chunk in the center and he scalped one stop in the back that you can't see in this this picture.

February 18

This was another wonderful day. We went to Crosspointe and played on the "big kids" playground. Jake kept peeking through the holes as he was climbing up this wall. Look at his hand. Will he stay this little forever? No! Once again, I am forever trying to capture today's moments. The little things...Jake's sweet smile and precious hand!

February 17

I am waiting on this picture. It was taken with a friend's camera.

February 16

"15 minutes of silence" is the name of this picture. Jim and I were trying to clean the house before my company arrived on Tuesday. We needed a few minutes to get some things done so I came up with this idea. I just taped a blank piece of paper to the floor and gave the boys crayons and stickers. They had so much fun making this mural for me. It was pure joy for 15 minutes. 15 minutes is a long time to hold the boys attention in my house.

February 15

Is it time October again? The boys found their costumes and wanted to wear them all day. I must say Judd enjoyed it some much more today than he did in October. In this picture he just decided that lying is more fun than standing.

February 14

Poor baby fell and hurt his chin...of course he needed a band-aid.

February 13

Funny Boy Judd! On this night, Jim and I had the pleasure of spending some alone time with Judd. The other kiddos were asleep so we just played with Judd and of course he wanted to eat. As the three of us were sitting at the table Judd starts making all of these funny faces. This is just one of the many captured this night.

February 12

This was a fun day for the kiddos. A sweet lady at church offered to take Jake, Judd and Cooper to the circus for Jake's birthday. The circus was so much fun but I believe the highlight of the day was getting to see and sit in the fire trucks.

February 11

Who me? I didn't do anything.

Anna Kate is very interested in books. Here she is playing in our book bucket.

February 10

Jake loves to make us laugh by pulling his pants up like Steve Urkel.

February 9

This picture was taken after the second round of dusting in Judd's room. They had a blast and I was left to clean the room and the air. It was very hard to breath with that must dust in the air.

February 8

This one needed to two pictures to explain the humor. We were all playing in the playroom when I noticed Anna Kate had a "pacifier" in her mouth. At a second glance, I realized it was a pacifier it was a play food mushroom. If you notice in the second picture the stem is very similar to a pacifier. She was so content sucking on her pacifier. I didn't dare tell her that it was actually a mushroom.

February 7

Yay Anna Kate! She loves to clap for herself. Such a sweet baby!

February 6

Jake was running a fever this morning so we stayed home from church. While Anna Kate was sleeping Jake and I learned the Armor of God. He was very excited about the shield and the sword. We even made an armor for him to wear but I never took a picture of him wearing it.

February 5

This is such a rare moment in Jake's life now that he his almost four. Naps are almost a forgotten thing in my first born's life which makes this mommy said for several different reasons. However, on this particular day he choose to nod of to sleepyland and I took the chance to capture of one his last naps. sniff...sniff...

February 4

For Christmas, Jake was given subscriptions for two different magazines. He LOVES getting them in the mail and he loves reading them even more. It is an exciting couple of days each month when the magazines arrive. This is a picture of him enjoying his newest magazine.

February 3

Judd is the "flying nun." No, he just loves to be a "shirt head." It is quite humorous to see him run around naked before bath time with his shirt on his head just like this picture shows.

February 2

This is one of Anna Kate's last 10 p.m. night feedings. It was a memorable night in our home. Jim always looks forward to getting to this milestone in our babies lives. He would much rather go to bed at 9:00 but when their is a new baby in the house he so graciously stays up with me until after the 10:00 feeding. Thanks babe!

February 1

We were experiencing an usually warm day in February. The day was gorgeous and I happen to catch a few good pictures of Juddman. This is one of my favorites from the day.
