Black beans and tortillas were on the menu for dinner. Anna Kate thoroughly enjoyed then both. This is Sunshine peeking over the top of her chair to see where I am going.

January 30

Let's just say mommy was tired of the clutter and the toys. Actually, I am tired of having so many toys and little boys, one in particular, walking around saying that "nothing is fun." I just decided that I would pack them up and put them in the attic for a while. Hopefully, they will begin to appreciate the toys that we have been so blessed to receive.

January 29

Today Jake and I built Jericho with blocks, Little People, Rescue Heroes and any other random man we could find lying (which is it lying or laying, I am sure my husband knows) around. It was a lot of fun and he enjoying knocking the walls down.

This is Judd ready to walk out the door to go to church. He found Jim's headband and wanted to wear it to church. I thought first I needed a picture.

January 25

Retired! I can not believe I have to retire this pair of jeans. These are the"skinny" jeans that I have treasured since before Jake was born. I love them. After each pregnancy getting back into this pair of jeans was always my goal.

For several months I have been looking for a pair of jeans to replace them. I didn't want to get rid of them but I did want to find some that fit as well. They were getting a little soft and thin. I finally found a pair that are great but I like I said I didn't want to get rid of these. Well, today they ripped right down the side of the back pocket. I couldn't believe it. They've had a good run, I guess they are RETIRED!

January 24

This is the first verse Judd memorized. We have been memorizing verses with Jake for Cubbies but this time Judd decided he wanted to do "Jake's Cubbies." He sounds so cute saying this verse. I have it on video and maybe one day I will learn to publish videos.

January 23

This is my favorite picture of the year so far. This is our neighbor's dog, Lily. She is a 104 lbs Great Dane who is a lap dog. Last Friday, we were all outside playing and she came and sat in Jim's lap. It was the funniest thing I have seen in a long time.

The letter of the day is "T." Jake had a blast making the letter T and as you can tell Judd was NOT happy to be in this picture.



Once again, this day needed another picture. Isn't she so sweet?

Look at this standing baby. Anna Kate is pulling up and standing alone for a few seconds. I am sure that she will be walking very soon.

Oh snow! Mommy was able to catch one picture of the boys before we went back inside. I do no have snow bunnies for children.

January 19

Learning the Letter S. We made the Letter S on blus paper and then used a "S" sponge to make little "s" all over the big S. We also made snow flakes and put snow (cotton balls) all around the snow flakes. The boys love doing projects

Judd has this fascination with me taking a picture of his foot. Everytime I get the camera out he says "take picture my foot." I have pictures of Judd's foot from every angle, maybe that should be a blog post of Simply Stephanie. Hmmmm! Here is one of the pictures of Judd's precious foot.

This day is so good it deserves two pictures. You see the first is the result of a little boy named Jake throwing a football in the house. He thought it would be really cool to throw it at the wall. Well the picture fell off and scared him to death. HE looked at it and said sorry then he said at least I didn't knock me off the wall. In unison Jim and I said, "that is you." "Oh"

The second picture shows you were the picture was orginal on my wall. Luckily I am OCD and already had a fourth frame in the attic for my fourth child that does not exist yet. Yes, they all have to match.

January 15

The famous day of dusting. I don't think my house will ever be the same.

January 14

This is a picture of Jake's first big boy bed. Very soon we will be replacing it with bunk beds so the boys can share a room. They are very excited but I am in no hurry for this transition to take place. Judd is a late sleeper and Jake gets up a lot earlier. I just wanted a picture to remind of his first bed.

January 13

In the past three days, I (or Jim and I) have been at the doctor with all three kids.

Sunday- Anna Kate has pneumonia and double ear infections. She was given a shot of Rocephin and 10 days of Augmentin.
Monday-Jake severe ear infection and they can't tell if his tube is still in there.(too much wax) We are praying that it is and is still working properly. If it is still in, right now it is clogged and the ear drops should clear it out so we can have a better look in a few weeks. He also has to take 10 days of Augmentin.
Judd has a sinus infection and pneumonia. He was given two shots of Rocephin and 10 days of Augmentin.

I am praying that the Lord will heal them and that we stay some what healthy the rest of this season. I really don't mind colds and runny noses. I know they are little and they will be sick, but I REALLY don't like putting them on antibiotics all the time.

January 12

Once again, Judd is in his pajamas. On this particular night he found my mitten and decided to start cooking while I was on the phone. I video taped him after I took this picture and he told me that he was "tooking" pizza. For those of you that know Judd, you know that the only thing he would be cooking is pizza.

January 11

This day didn't get a picture. I was overwhelmed with church doctor's appointments and a nine month old with pneumonia. I regret that I don't have a picture of my sweet baby to help me remember this day.

January 10

My sleeping baby. I don't have many pictures of the boys sleeping so I decided that I wanted to have some of Anna Kate. It is so hard to remember the way they looked and slept as babies. I just wanted a picture to help my remember.

She made it a little difficult to get a picture of her face and right after I took this picture she woke up.

This is a picture of Judd and mommy playing the Hula Hoop on the Wii Fit. Have you noticed that picture taking time is usually when my kids are wearing their pajamas? They do have other clothes.

Is this lotion? No. Is this shaving cream? No. Is it whip cream? No. Is it white paint? No. Give up!

My poor child has very chapped skin so his daddy thought it would be a good idea to put Desitin on his rosy cheeks. Yes, he will be mortified by this picture when he is a teenager.

Oh the "I Feel Good Button"! This has been a wonderful addition to our home this year. Jim received this as a present from my mom but it has become a household favorite. Just when life gets TOO crazy and overwhelming for us(the parents), we just press the button and hear "I feel good.....I knew that I would...so good...so good...." The kids laugh and we all smile. The tension is broken and we get a redo. Thanks, mom!

I must admit Jim has been helping with my 365 project. He likes taking pictures also and he happen to get this cute one of Anna Kate. This was her first taste of Creamy Chicken Casserole. I think that she liked it. I choose this picture because she is smiling so big and you can see all of her teeth. Don't you just love the green pea stuck to her nose!

This is Anna Kate's elbow lean. She loves to just lean on her elbow while she is playing. It is a funny to watch.

Here are some of the Christmas projects we did during the month of December and all of the Christmas cards that we received. This was a wonderful Christmas season.

This is our car the night we came home from Georgia. We took a picture before we unloaded. What you can't tell is the back seat it completely full also.

My little hunter. Jim went hunting this morning and let behind is Lil Me. Jake just had to wear his daddy's hunting shirt. He wore it all day long.

Welcome to 2009 and welcome to my Project 365! The rules: take a picture each day of the 365 days of the year. My plan is to take pictures of many different persons, places and things.

This is my mom's mantle. We have been trying to arrange it for two years. Once again, I randomly put things on it just to get an idea of what might look good. Last year, she left all of the random things on it until Christmas. The question is this,"Will it look the same at the end of 2009?"
